Working at Surplus, I lead a dynamic team of 12 professionals, encompassing IT servicedesk, second line support, and IT consultants. My role involves overseeing network infrastructure, telephony (both mobile and landlines), Microsoft 365 workplace solutions, printing, and other essential IT services. Surplus is a dedicated healthcare organization, providing nursery homes, homecare, and societal care services. My mission is to ensure seamless IT operations that support our healthcare professionals.

Result Laboratory is the clinical chemical laboratory for the southwest of the Netherlands. Result Laboratorium is a service partner for hospitals, general practitioners, midwives and other healthcare providers who want to have blood from their patients examined. The organization consists of about 500 employees and covers a large geographical area. Result Laboratory is the result of the privatization of the clinical chemical laboratories of multiple hospitals.

Star-MDC is a full-service organization for the first line healthcare sector in the Netherlands. With over 1400 motivated employees we provide testing of patient material in our modern laboratory. We also provide a range of function studies (including ECG, Echo, Pulmonary Research, Eye photo, MRI and Bone density measurements). We also have departments that are specialized in counselling en guidance for patients with chronic diseases (eg diabetes) and posting of workers to support our customers.

The Technical Support department (7 FTE + external managed service provider) provides infrastructural components (servers, storage, networking, peripherals and commodities such as email and web servers) to other IT departments and to users according to agreed service levels. The focus is primarily on the availability of the infrastructure and delivering the right performance.
