The thesis is part of the research initiative "Germany - Europe - World: 2042. A transformative longitudinal study" which has been launched by the the Faculty of Sustainability as a with the aim to analyse societal transformation towards sustainability. Focus of the thesis the focus will be on sustainability assessment of urban energy systems based on systemic analysis and is prepared in a transdisciplinary context.
