• Analyzed massive equipment failure data stored on SAP; Calculated KPIs (failure rates, MTBF, MTTR, costs, etc.) for the majority of the physical equipments of Matosinhos Oil Refinery; Performed reliability analysis (Weibull, Crow – AMSAA) • Conducted Failure Analysis for equipment breakdowns and applied RCA (Root Cause Analysis) methodology • Participated as a member of the RCM (Reliability Centred Maintenance) team in the application of the methodology to several units of the Matosinhos Oil Refinery

• Performed site suitability analysis (mechanical loads, energy production) for Enercon wind farms, with emphasis on complex terrain, according to the standard IEC 61400 – 1 • Provided technical support to Sales department but also to clients and consultants • Produced detailed technical reports for clients • Performed micrositing analysis in order to determine the most efficient wind farm layout (increase yield, reduce loads); additionally defined curtailment (sector-wise shut down) strategies

• Designed large customized electric motors for the Oil & Gas market (calculation, FEM simulation, 2D and 3D drawing, manufacturing drawings) • Accompanied the manufacturing and assembly processes and resolved quality problems • Selected and visited suppliers for castings, steel parts and welded constructions • Participated in the design and certification of WEG’s W22X motor range • Provided technical support to Sales and to clients from refining, mining, petrochemical and pulp and paper industry

Mechanical Design
