Study of Dual Quaternions and its advantages in GNC for asteroid proximity operations. Development of a simulator in MATLAB R2016b and design of stable controllers for orbiting, hovering and landing on the surface of a small asteroid; taking into account the full six degrees of freedom. Optimization of the controllers and assessment of their speed convergence, energy usage, error accumulation and efficiency performance.

Development and implementation of a software tool in Python for the spectral and geometric On Ground Calibration of the two cameras (VNIR and SWIR) of the German satellite EnMAP. The requirements were specified by the science team. The main task was to provide certain performance parameters and data for calibration after performing on-ground tests. Special effort was taken so that an operator without any knowledge of Python could use the software.

Team leader of a group of 20 students aiming to develop and construct a rocket to be launched from a balloon assisted platform at 30 km above sea level. Also responsible for finding funding, recruiting new members and presenting the project to other universities.
