As a ski instructor you need to relate well to different people, extract information and make them feel at ease, you have 5 mins to analyze a person's skiing, come up with a plan, and backup plans as people learn differently! also complicated by accounting for disabilities. I worked with the equipment techs to modify equipment to a students need - my engineering and problem solving skills came in very useful doing this 
- 4 Monate, Mai 2011 - Aug. 2011Workday Absence Management ConfigurationMACH I was initially employed to help with checking data prior to it being imported into the company's new HRIS (Workday) however with several years software engineering experience and the ability to pick up new things very quickly I was asked to take on the additional responsibility of configuring the absence management portion of the Workday implementation. I was able to make significant progress on this after just a couple of hours training.

Assisted with the development and implementation of a Quality Management System including writing key software development and release procedures, to assist the company with its progress towards achieving ISO:9001.

In addition, I was responsible for a variety of projects, projects varied in size and scope up to three years with twelve engineers. In partnership with the customer developed the Start/Stop strategy for a gasoline/electric hybrid engine using Matlab/Simulink and coded in C and assembler. 
- 11 Monate, Mai 2001 - März 2002Senior Software EngineerBritish American Racing I worked on a project to develop a new chassis and gearbox control systems intended to run on the 2003 car. The role was to develop the DSP data logging software, with additional responsibility for developing the API and porting the existing control system applications. 
- 11 Monate, Juli 2000 - Mai 2001Technical SpecialistCarter Ground Fuelling I was responsible for the software in the Data Acquisition Module, resolving problems in the existing software; designed and implemented new functionality. In conjunction with the support role I took a lead role in the development of a new data acquisition system 
- 4 Jahre und 4 Monate, Apr. 1996 - Juli 2000Software EngineerTag Electronic Systems At TAG developed software for Formula One electronic control units in C and Assembler for multi-processor systems. Developed a new switch interface unit and display control system, developing the complete system from initial concept to production within three months.
