As a member of Cisco’s Global Mobility Technical Advisory Board, I advised Cisco’s executive leadership and product teams on enterprise networking strategy, customer requirements and emerging technology trends. Initially representing EMEA before expanding to a global remit, I provided strategic customer insight that helped shape product direction, investment priorities and technology roadmaps.

Provided voluntary technology support to the Global Satellite Operators Association (formerly the European Satellite Operators Association), helping maintain the organisation’s IT systems, web presence and digital services for more than 16 years. Supported the association alongside my executive career in the satellite communications industry.

As Group Head of Technology, reporting directly to the Vice-Chairman and serving on the Senior Leadership Team, I led technology strategy and enterprise transformation across one of the Middle East’s largest and most diversified organisations, spanning 18 business units, more than 20 countries and 42,000 employees.

As Chief Information Officer, reporting directly to the CEO and serving on the Management Board and Executive Leadership Team, I led technology strategy and enterprise transformation for one of Europe’s leading e-commerce organisations, supporting operations across more than 30 markets with an annual technology budget of €40 million.

As Director of Global Networks & Network Security, I led adidas’ global network and cybersecurity functions, serving on the CIO Leadership Team with responsibility for technology strategy, enterprise connectivity and cyber resilience across corporate, retail, manufacturing and logistics operations. My remit supported more than 2,800 retail locations worldwide and an annual technology budget of €22 million.

Advised Blue Coat’s executive leadership on business strategy, investment priorities and product direction, contributing strategic customer insight throughout the company’s acquisition by Symantec.

As Head of IT and a founding member of the leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO, I built the global technology organisation supporting the world’s first commercial medium-Earth-orbit (MEO) satellite network. From concept through to commercial operation, I led technology strategy and delivery across a US$550 million ground infrastructure programme spanning more than 12 countries.

As a Network Security Consultant, I supported the European Space Agency’s Galileo Satellite Programme, delivering classified network infrastructure for one of Europe’s most strategically significant space and navigation initiatives. Working with national security authorities across ESA’s 22 member states, I helped establish secure technology environments that met stringent government and defence security requirements while supporting the programme’s operational readiness.

As Senior Network Administrator, I was responsible for the design, operation and support of enterprise network infrastructure across European operations, strengthening availability, security and operational resilience while supporting a rapidly growing international business. This role provided the technical and leadership foundation for my subsequent transition into global technology leadership within the satellite communications sector.
