Overall responsible for the strategy and roadmap for consumer devices (CPE) for BT Retail for the UK market, incl. Home Gateways (BT Hub), IP Set Top boxes (BT Vision and Youview), Fixed Line, IP and DECT phones, LTE Femtocells, network and other electronic consumer devices, as well as the management and diagnostics software and systems (servers) for these devices.

Responsible for the definition and the technical part of Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Information (RFI), and Invitation To Tender (ITT) process, adjudication of responses , vendor selection process for consumer devices, handsets, and the accompanying management platforms for BT Retail and Openreach for the UK market.

Responsibilty for technical development of Infineon's mobile phone System Layer Software, new chip and board bring-up, and integration of whole mobile phone software.

Technical lead of the architecture and architectural decisions for the whole Sky-MAP platform including all applications and UI. Designing application behaviour and logic as well as defining the UI.

Responsibility for research and architecture of solutions to improve the quality of embedded multimedia applications (speech, video, multimedia) on mobile devices.

Project lead in prototype development with transmission, IP data and VoIP equipment, testing next generation intelligent digital cross connects, ADMs, DWDM equipment, routers, switches, IP telephones and media gateway, incl. building of test networks. Lead Engineer for the ground up design of the IP data part for 4 new gateways in Germany, defining global and regional IP routing-policies as well as working on product definitions.

Designing, architecting, implementing as well as operations, capacity planning, and 24x7 support of the IP-backbone, access network, co-location space, and IP services (e.g. DNS, email, WWW, news, proxy cache, RADIUS).
