- apply spatial filters for feature detection in TBs of numerical data of the atmosphere - identify storm centres in these data and merge them to tracks - classify detected storm tracks using multivariate statistical methods - statistically analyse the results

- develop algorithms to calculate 4d moisture transports in numerical data of the atmosphere - identify sources and sinks of atmospheric moisture supply - statistically analyse and publish the results
