"Development of a Decision Support System using the Cell Transmission Model for Optimal Selection of Signal Timing Plans"

1. Used traffic engineering workstation CROSSIG to design fixed signal plans and generate green wave. 2. Got familiar to the logics used for designing traffic-actuated control for a network with TRELAN (public transport priority, push buttons, etc) 3. Optimized the network using CROSSIG feature (which uses Genetic Algorithms) 4. Created new Traffic-actuated Signal programs from the optimized results. 5. Simulated, evaluated and compared the different Signal programs with PTV-VISSIM.

Assisted in analysing traffic situation at different types of intersections in Mumbai and developed techniques to improve the traffic conditions under flyovers in Mumbai.
