In 2019 Metin joined KPMG's Global Audit Quality (AQ) Transformation Program to enhance AQ within the KPMG network. After successfully establishing the EMA Audit Quality governance structures, Metin then focused on implementing the International Standard on Quality Management 1 (ISQM 1) across KPMG Member Firms in the EMA region.

In July 2014 Metin rejoined the Finance Advisory Team of KPMG Germany focusing on Accounting Advisory Services (German GAAP, IFRS, US GAAP) in scope of M&A transactions, post-deal integration matters (i.e. financial reporting integration and harmonization of policies and procedures), carve-outs, IPO’s and GAAP Conversions (incl. system and process adjustments).

On his two-year assignment in the US, Metin supported the Transactions & Restructuring Team of KPMG US in New York. As part of the Advisory team, he provided consulting services on various US GAAP and IFRS accounting issues, M&A transactions, carve-outs and initial public offerings (IPO’s).

On his three-year assignment in India, Metin’s responsibilities included conducting internal and external IFRS trainings as well as leading various IFRS Conversion Projects. He expanded his leadership, project management and IFRS technical experience and was, from 2010 to 2012, in charge for a US GAAP - IFRS Conversion and finance transformation project of a globally operating automobile manufacturer for the Asia Pacific Africa Region covering 14 countries and involving more than 100 team members.

On his two-year assignment with KPMG South Korea, Metin was involved in the development of the IFRS Conversion Group of KPMG Korea and was the technical advisor for IFRS Conversion projects. Further he was member of the management team of the international business development of the Korean practice. In this role he established and ran KPMG Korea’s Turkish Desk providing audit, tax and advisory services primarily to Korean clients with investments in the emerging market of Turkey.

Metin started his career in the Audit practice of KPMG Germany and gained broad experience in auditing various clients of different sizes and legal formats. In scope of IFRS Implementation in Europe, Metin joined the Advisory practice of KPMG Germany. Over the following five years, he gained extensive experience in the implementation of IFRS in many industry sectors as well as in post-conversion, system and process improvement.
