Testing instrumentation and developing technology in preparation of a 2024 proposal for a 2-SmallSat X-ray/Hard X-ray telescope mission

Conducted a sensitivity study of a proposed small satellite wide-field X-ray telescope for detecting a new class of black hole X-ray binaries, while participating in PRISE (Program for Research in Science and Engineering) as part of the research village

Analyzed images of disks around binary stars using CASA software. Wrote Python scripts to search for detection of formaldehyde and to visualize results.

Conducted modeling and mock proposal planning for observing "warm Saturns"

Researched academic papers to find black hole candidates suitable for observation in order to help with a proposal to NASA to build and fly a small satellite. Predicted background count rate of bright sources to improve satellite detection.
