Ubidyne technology significantly reduces site operation cost and complexity while improving radio performance, deployment flexibility, coverage and capacity of mobile communications networks. Hired by investors with focus to deliver technology proof, first revenue and manage exit. Sold the company to KATHREIN Group, business operations and team remaining fully operational.

Provided industry insight to board, investors and executive team, closed C-Series funding with investors alongside with transformation programme for change of strategy and management team.

End-to-end responsibility and leadership for design, planning, engineering and deployment of all Fixed and Mobile Access and Transport Networks. Managed HSPA+ upgrades, responsability for preparation of 4G license bid (auction in early 2010). Responsible for implemeting significant network quality and capacity improvements in line with backhaul transport capacity measures for mobile broadband growth including technology integration of acquired Hansenet/Alice fixed network and backbone assets.

Responsibility for design, planning, engineering, deployment and operations of the Fixed Line / IP network incl. dark fiber backbone and IT systems development for provisioning and fulfillment, operations and B2B customer service for B2B wholesale provisioning of xDSL lines to major re-sellers and cloud based hosting services. Sucessfully merged and integrated the business with the mobile business of Telefónica in Germany (o2 Germany) for a fully converged play in access, transport and core services.

Responsible for design, planning, engineering and deployment of radio access and transport 2G and 3G networks incl. OSS systems development and network quality assurance and benchmarking. Managed major swap and rollout programmes with OEM partners like Nortel, Huawei and NSN. Managed national roaming co-ordination with T-Mobile. Lead various cost reduction and growth programmes including significant network quality improvement initiatives.

Responsible for value added network service architecture and platform development and engineering incl. web portal services and CS/PS Core Design and Engineering. Technical implementation lead of Homezone Product ‘Genion’ for 2G and 3G and National Roaming programme management with T-Mobile.

Managing the CTO office with focus on business and budget planning as well as strategic technology and innovation roadmap planning. Assesment of disruptive technologies, network and business models for capacity growth, service differentiation and cost reduction.

Responsible for technology assesments and innovation projects for early 3G data products, services and applications. Delivering into Pan-European Group technology strategy and innovation roadmap programme for global product generation and partner management with OEM’s and suppliers.

Project Management responsiblity for re-structuring and implemetation of cost cutting and turnaround measures in networks and infrastructure business follwing re-branding (o2 / Viag Interkom) and shareholder changes (BT, E.ON, Telenor / o2 plc.). Change Catalyst in European Culture Change programme.

Responsible for national 2G and 2,5 G radio network planning including planning guideline governance and capacity planning. Responsible for successful GPRS introduction following extensive lab and field trials. Network Strategy Development including partnering options and network investment plans for 3G business unit following the successful national 3G license bidding process in Germany (Aug. 2000).

Project Manager for international network planning projects including technical sales functions, process and tool support.

Support engineer for Computer Integrated Manufacturing and Design (CIM/CAD) as part of an international intercultural DAAD graduate programme.

Project engineer responsible for research and development of a disruptive technology to automatically calibrate electronic sensors (inductive displacement transducers).
