Michael Johnson

I am the Co-Founder of SE-Training GmbH, a primarily Systems Engineering training course provider for Switzerland. In addition, SE-Training GmbH is a platform for other training providers to provide their engineering courses through.

09/2010 - 04/2011: I supported the systems engineering activities on a complex UOR Vehicles Project for the UK MoD. I took the responsibility for managing the interfaces, architecture and several of the systems activities from the CDR to the initial deliveries. 02/2008 - 09/2010: I worked as a Surveillance and Target Acquisition Systems Engineer on the FIST (UK MoD Category A) Programme from the end of the assessment phase until the Systems Acceptance.

The main tasks in this role included, providing technical support in ZEMAX optical design software to European engineers, giving training in ZEMAX both in the UK and across Europe as well as supporting the company's sales activities at conferences.

During this period I worked predominantly on the development from concept to demonstrator of a Burst Illumination (BIL) active imaging system. I was responsible for systems and project engineering tasks throughout, resulting in the successful delivery of the system against its requirements. I left TOTL shortly after its planned closure was announced.
