Mirja Michalscheck

I am a certified systemic coach and change manager, i.a. offering coaching sessions and training for PhDs and Postdocs i.a. at the universities of Freiburg, Basel (CH) and St. Gallen (CH). I am passionate about sustainable resource management: in my research and consultancy work, I look at sustainable natural resource management, while in my coaching work it is all about personal resources.

Since 2012, I have been working as an independent consultant, delivering timely and high quality work for institutions such as the UN FAO, the European commission, the Asian Development Bank, the GIGA as well as the University of Wageningen. I held technical as well as project management functions. I therefore have a broad experience in project and stakeholder management and I am always curious to learn something new.

In collaboration with the R4D project Africa RISING, I investigated smallholder farm and farmer diversity in Northern Ghana in order to better understand the technical and social suitability of innovations for a sustainable agricultural intensification.

The German-Jordanian degree in Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM) was offered by the Technical University of Cologne and the Jordan University in Amman. In my thesis I performed a socio-economic assessment of water conservation techniques at household level.
