Recently, we investigated the prediction of PC-SAFT equation of state parameters of hydrogen bonding compounds. To reach this goal, thermochemical properties (enthalpies and entropies of association) of 1-alkanols are calculated by using efficient and accurate ab initio and statistical mechanical methods and related to the PC-SAFT pure component association parameters (εAB/k and ƘAB). The remaining parameters (m, σ, ε/k) are predicted by the semi-empirical approach.
