Occupation during semester breaks as Assistant to the Management, supporting project management, process optimization and accounting

Gained theoretical and practical experience in ecological research and conservation biology through lectures and independent projects, including field work in the Swiss Alps resulting in a Species Distribution Model (SDM) examining the effects of climate change on different plant species.

Conducted own research project as part of a team from start to finish. Reviewed scientific literature, formulated a hypothesis, drafted a research proposal, designed an experiment, analyzed scientific data, applied statistical methods, composed a research paper, presented and defended the research in a colloquium.

Gained hands-on experience in infection biology and epidemiology, covering a variety of topics from molecular mechanisms to public health. Focused in understanding disease dynamics of different infections and concepts in vaccine and drug discovery, while also exploring epidemiological approaches to infection control. Developed skills in identifying research questions, analyzing data, and presenting findings within a collaborative scientific environment.

Gained hands-on experience with experimental methods in plant biology spanning from the cellular level to ecosystems. Conducted research projects in both laboratory and field settings.
