I work in the Centre for Central Banking Studies (CCBS) at the bank of England, where I put together and teach training courses in the areas of econometric modelling, financial stability and market operations to other central bankers, both in London and all over the world.

Economist in the Foreign Exchange Team of the Monetary Instruments and Markets Division in Monetary Analysis. Responsible for research in foreign exchange economics, surveillance of and preparation of presentations on financial market developments for the monthly MPC meeting.

Economist in the Monetary Assessment and Strategy Division in Monetary Analysis, working on financial market surveillance, analysis and research. Preparation of presentations for the monthly MPC meetings.

Economist in the Foreign Exchange Division in Markets at the Bank of England. Includes six-month internal secondment to the Risk Management Division within Markets.

Economist in the G-10 Markets Team of the G-10 Financial Surveillance Division in Financial Stability. Responsible for North American capital markets and hedge funds.

Economist in the Chief Economist's Department. Responsible for independent research, assistant editor of the EIB Papers and contributor to speeches and articles by the Chief Economist as well as several EIB Annual Reports.

Assistant Manager in the Corporate Finance department.

PhD in economics under the supervision of Andrew Hughes Hallett. External examiner: Mike Artis, EUI. Dissertation topic: "On the Feasibility of a Two-Speed European Monetary Union".

Degree components: Macroeconomics, microeconomics, econometrics, applied econometrics and international money and finance. Thesis topic: "Some unresolved issues on the road to economic and monetary union in Europe".
