Leads national retail transformation and operational delivery across The Range, Wilko and Homebase, delivering complex strategic programmes that support business growth and operational excellence. Responsible for flagship developments, estate expansion, multi-brand integration and large-scale retail conversions, including the £25 million Plymouth flagship, the reintroduction of Wilko and the successful conversion of 70 former Homebase stores.

Joined CDS Superstores in April 1989 as part of the original five-person headquarters team in Plymouth, working alongside founders Chris Dawson.Over 37 years, has played a key role in the company’s growth, leading the opening of more than 280 stores across the UK. Works closely with the Executive Board, Group CEO Alex Simpkin and COO Adam Holmes to deliver national retail transformation, operational excellence and strategic expansion.

Alongside delivering national retail transformation programmes, Paul is committed to developing future retail leaders through coaching, mentoring and building high-performing teams. His contribution to the business and the success of major transformation programmes was recognised through an invitation to attend the prestigious Retail Week Awards at Grosvenor House, London, in March 2026, representing the company alongside senior leaders from across the UK retail industry.
