Master Thesis: Interest-based Recommendation in Academic Networks using Social Network Analysis. The aim of this thesis is comparing the performance of collaborative filtering (CF), trust-based CF, and social network analysis based recommender systems in the academic area. I work at CAT as IT Technical Support Officer. The CAT Catalytic Center, as a collaborative effort between the RWTH Aachen, Bayer Material Science and Bayer Technology Service. Works included: Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks; Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications; Testing and evaluating new technology; Web Developer.

For the first six months, I worked as a student research assistant on Media Base project at the Chair of Computer Science 5. Research topics were about Web Science & Social Network Analysis and technologies were Matlab programming, SPARQL and RDF, JavaScript. For the second 4 months, I did research on e-learning, learning analytics and self-regulated learning topics. Theory of the related topics was covered during these months.

Research interests: Eye-tracking, Gaze-aware UIs, Information Systems, Human-Computer Interaction
