Taught General and Academic English to teens and adults through tailored and student-centred lessons. Prioritized in creating a supportive and dynamic classroom environment and a consistent analysis of individual student needs. Assisted the Director of Studies with new student testing and level placement. Highly adaptable, hard working, and approachable, therefore asked by the school to become the Registrar from February 2014.

Managed the school's database, keeping all records secure, accurate and updated. Responsible for enrolments, communication with agents worldwide, Visa and insurance support, mentoring of Korean and French speaking students, assistance in marketing for Korean and French speaking countries, changes in courses and accommodation, processing of payments, and job seeking support. Relief English teacher when needed.

Tutored 2 Korean students once a week to improve communication skills, namely pronunciation and conversational English. Created tailored and practical lessons independently. Assisted in a better cultural understanding of New Zealand.

Volunteered once a week at a French Immersion school in Canada for students in grades 6 and 8. Assisted in the instruction of lessons, corrected student work and encouraged students to always speak in French.

Supported the Maths and Physical Education teacher of grade 9 students struggling with behavioural/physical/learning challenges. Learnt how to accommodate these special needs--academically and socially--through building a close rapport with the teens.

Taught students from ages 5-17, as well as one-to-one lessons in General, Essay Writing and Conversation classes. Engaged learners by setting a stimulating context at the beginning of lessons and making the topics relevant to young learners. Managed the classroom by creating a nurturing and friendly atmosphere.

Mentored 3 newcomers to Canada and led Conversation classes. Supported their settlement in Toronto and discussed cultural issues and interests. Created a strong rapport to them as my parents also immigrated to Canada without knowing much about the culture and English language. Always maintained cross-cultural sensitivity and respect.

Currently in level B1.1 and finishing the course at the end of October.
