Richard Clooke

My core responsibility at PC Tools is to manage all media relations for the company in Germany. This includes managing the product review program, securing cover disc promotions, acting as PC Tools spokesperson and managing our German PR agency. I'm also involved with similar activities in the UK and other german-speaking countries, and provide support to other members of the marketing team in media relations, sales and marketing strategy.

My position at IDG spans print, online and electronic media. I am responsible for evaluating and testing software applications and determining their suitability for the front cover of our print titles. In 2007 I founded IDG's software affiliate program, enabling the company to generate significant revenue through covermount promotions and online download services. I'm currently working to build revenue through download sections on techworld.com and across IDG UK's other online properties.

Core responsibility was in fostering relationships with editors & journalists of relevant publications, as well as freelance IT writers, in order to better place reviews of software and other products in consumer and trade publications.
