- Development of Finite Elements Thermo-Mechanical Analyses for Tunnel Fire safety in cooperation with CERN, Switzerland. - Production of software for Probabilistic Analyses and for Post-Processing of Finite Elements Analysis, automating and increasing the efficiency of the structural fire safety assessment. - Development of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations of smoke, heat, and chemical weapon, evaluating the safety of a trains in a tunnel in case of terrorist attack (REHSTRAIN project).

- Prescriptive and performance-based fire safety design for railway stations, schools, library, residential, and commercial buildings which were approved by the authorities. - Investigation of smoke ventilation systems for a prison, reducing the costs of the project. - Production of evacuation strategies for large school of over 1500 pupils, enabling sophisticated architecture design. - Assessment of the risk of external fire spread which permitted the change of the use of an art centre into a school.
