• Monitoring, control and management of the swiss transmission grid • Planning and implementation of switching operations in the swiss transmission grid in Coordination with power plant and distribution network operators • Execution and management of incident and event management • Identification and development of measures to increase security and grid availability as well as efficiency and effectiveness • Operational coordination with the foreign transmission system operators

• Outage planning of grid elements in the Swiss transmission grid, in coordination with the neighboring transmission system operators (TSO) and the coordinating offices for grid maintenance. • Implementation of the grid condition forecast in coordination with the neighboring TSOs and transfer of an N-1 safe grid to real time operators. • Project support or (sub) project management in operational planning projects.

• Monitoring and control of national and international market energy schedules. • Procurement and activation of balance energy in the Swiss control area and use of various types of ancillary services. • Assessment of grid situations and participation in optimization measures. • Participation in operational projects. • Documentation of operational events.
