The domain 'norcalsharepoint.com' was developed to showcase the free version of Sharepoint Services, and to serve as a vehicle for contract work related to Sharepoint. It is hoped that other competent developers will join this site and thus provide a group of specialists to address principal Sharepoint-related needs. In addition to informational 'white papers' I have written relative to the Sharepoint foundation, the site offers 'for-rent' PM sites based on the Sharepoint Services functionality.

Help-U-Plan was an online service to create and store enhanced Gantt Charts. It was hosted commercially by a firm specializing in Microsoft technologies, and permitting custom components. The Help-U-Plan application was founded on Microsoft's 'Active Server Pages' technology. User data was stored in SQL Server, and the product Gantt Chart (a .gif file) produced from this data and a combination of two .dll assemblies. We held 2 official copyrights on this process/components.

At my brother Bob's request, i worked for his general contracting company, helping him put it on a profitable basis. We succeeded in achieving all but one of his goals over the 12 year work period. The company never quite made Bob's annual profit goal. We did succeed in progressing from competing on publicly advertised contracts to a 'select bidders list' for Butte County, and the City of Chico. Often, these projects involved ADA-related work, typically converting baths to ADA-compliant status.

My first professional experience after farming was at the Rancho Seco nuclear power facility near Sacramento, and involved 2 positions which provided important information to senior management: The first position was as a 'temp', and involved working with the team which managed the re-building and restart of the power plant. I was next invited to join the Scheduling Department as a 'scheduling technician'. Among other duties, i co-produced the site-wide set of daily status reports to senior mgmt.

In addition to computer science, studies in statistics and mathematics were re-visited. Thesis topic was 'An Electronic Tool for Understanding Government; Using Smalltalk'. This included an object-oriented model of the United States Senate, basis for a discrete simulation of the Senate process.

Took a beginning programming class in Pascal, a class in artificial intelligence, and an advanced business class in Excel. These classes gave me a chance to learn, and to also test my interest and competence in different areas of computer science.

Graduate program included a double minor in pure economics. My thesis was an economic evaluation of 5 different systems of swine growing-finishing housing systems. We used a 'zero/one' statistical design and analysis for evaluating these discrete treatments (housing systems).
