Joined the Corporate division of the City-of-London-based firm Citigate (now Citigate Dewe Rogerson), specialising in corporate, finacial, and business-to-business public relations covering the telecommunications, media, energy, financial & professional services, inward investment and regional development industries.

Before returning to university, spent two years with this UN-agency, based in Geneva, Switzerland, primarily with the Bureau of Public Information, and ending in supporting the launch of the ILO's International Programme for the Elimination of Child Labour.
