Accelerating Deep Learning for visual understanding under a Framework CAFFE by OpenCL •Enabled OpenCL GPU and FPGA support in CAFFE •Implementing CIFAR10, ImageNet Data set on both AMD and NVIDIA GPU using GoogLeNet and AlexNet models, improving accuracy of millions of images and doing performance comparison between them. •Passing all existing unit tests in CAFFE

• Contribute to relevant R&D activities. • Study and develop algorithms for audio signal processing (sound field capture, processing coding and rendering) in Matlab and C/C++. • Prepare hardware demonstrators and prototypes using DSP and microcontrollers

• Conduct listening tests for validating research results. • Developing algorithms and programming for Virtual Spatial Audio Conference Project. • Generating intellectual property rights, papers and Technical Reports. • Developing prototypes and proof of concepts to demonstrate the potentials of the developed algorithms.

• The project presents a new approach to determine the gunshots direction of arrival, which highlights the novel state of the art algorithm. • Array of microphones is used to determine the path of the gunshot and direction of shot in a clockwise manner. • Each microphone acts as a sensor node to compute angle of arrival and time of arrival. • The proposed algorithm uses the angle of arrival information gathered from multiple sources to determine the direction of shooter.
