AWS DevTools Heroes are a community of passionate advocates of the developer experience on AWS and the tools that enable that experience. DevTools Heroes excel at sharing their knowledge and building community through open source contributions, blogging, speaking, community organizing, and social media. Through their feedback, content, and contributions, DevTools Heroes help shape the AWS developer experience and evolve the AWS DevTools, such as the AWS CDK and the AWS SDK.

Drawing on my experience developing HashiCorp's Terraform CDK, I significantly contributed to the Winglang SDKs, enhancing Developer Experience (DX). My role involved crafting examples, resolving technical issues, engaging in community support, and driving product development. Moreover, I was integral to the team developing Wing Cloud SaaS, applying my cloud architecture skills, especially in AWS, to streamline delivery.

Consulting in CDK/Terraform: Helped in creating a prototype service for standardized infrastructure templates, aimed at aiding product teams. Initially focused on AWS, with plans to expand to a multi-cloud framework.

Consulted on Migration from Serverless Framework to AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) for a Medium-Sized Application, including Team Expansion. This project, characterized by substantial technical debt, focused on enhancing workflows and system robustness. Additionally, played a pivotal role in recruiting skilled professionals to ensure effective ongoing management by the dedicated in-house team.

Software Engineering

I joined the Communities team at Xing to help delivering two major milestones: 1) A community driven marketplace 2) An upsellable professional groups product, targeting power users and businesses In the beginning, my role was primarily focused on supporting the existing team with backend engineering in a classical Rails app. In the later stage of the project, I was given the opportunity to help the team adjusting to new responsibilities given to them due to organisational changes.

Als erste Station in Australien, war ich hier Teil eines agilen Teams. Neben der Entwicklung der hausinternen SaaS für die australische Bergbau-Industrie, war ich vor allem in Kundenprojekten tätig.
