Carried out design reviews to facilitate the installation and operation of an Acid Mine Drainage (AMD) plant with capacity to treat 36 m3/h of an effluent generated by a Copper mine in Chile. Design and manufacture of the system were completed by Newterra in Canada. Supervision and coordination of start-up team in Chile for a period of two months. Carried out commissioning, start-up and training of operators.

Carried out engineering design for water treatment projects including process design, selection of technologies, mass balance, sizing, layout, specification, materials selection, corrosion control design, cost estimate, design diagrams, and project reports. Design included applications like potable water, sewage, industrial wastewater, desalination, cooling water, and mining effluents. Prepared proposals for water treatment projects. Supported business development in South America.

Managed engineering studies with a multidisciplinary work team of up to 12 professionals. Managed vendor packages (e.g., water treatment plants and pipeline supply contracts) Directed a business unit in Sao Paulo, Brazil, for a period of 8 months. As Interim Manager, I was responsible for business development, proposals, and a group of water treatment specialists. Prepared engineering proposals, for a period of two years, for two business units (Water and Infrastructure) in Santiago, Chile.
