My PhD focused on the study of the current bioinformatics tools and the implementation of pipelines for automatic preprocessing of WGS data from isolates of zoonosis species, mainly Salmonella spp and Campylobacter. One of the main goals of my PhD was the prediction of antimicrobial resistance genes to tackle the antimicrobial resistance issue.
