Identification, planning, setup and management of pre-clinical academic alliances across different therapeutic areas including functional projects of pRED. Responsible for study protocol design, data evaluation, generation of study reports and related regulatory documents. Leading the pre-clinical oncology research strategy of the Hub to enhance disease area knowledge and foster improvements of the research and development strategies.

• Core member of the Pacritinib (JAK2 inhibitor) drug development team o Developed pharmacodynamic biomarkers pre-clinically and implemented into the clinic for a JAK2 kinase inhibitor (currently completed Phase II trials) o Led pre-clinical efforts to expand therapeutic indications of S*BIO’s JAK2 program • Project leader for mTOR/PI3 kinase program: led team efforts from project conception to assay development and preclinical development candidate selection (SB2343 / VS-5584)

• Set-up molecular biology research facility (head count of the SOG Lab: 12) • Generated intellectual property for novel diagnostic tests supporting cancer prognostication and more efficacious personalized cancer therapies • Publications in high quality and peer-reviewed journals and in a patent (WO08066498)

Receptor tyrosine kinase signalling in cancer
