Wolfson Institute for Biomedical Research Oncogenic Receptor Signalling Group. I was studying the spatio-temporal control of ErbB receptor signalling. In particular, I investigated the role of Mig-6, a negative feedback inhibitor of EGFR, at the DNA damage checkpoint aiming to identify and characterize new Mig-6 interaction partners.

Finishing some work of my PhD project for publication.

PhD thesis in Cell Biology/Infection Biology. Title of the PhD thesis: "Purification and characterization of N-WASP and WASP associated protein complexes" My PhD project did focus on actin dynamics in host-pathogen interactions. I identified the host cell factor Irsp53 and thereby revealed a unique recruitment cascade of alternating bacterial and host cell factors that cooperate in EHEC induced pedestal formation. The interaction surfaces of this pathway were also mapped.

Master Thesis in the Proteomics Lab of the Genomics Group; Department of Pulmonary Desease Title of the master thesis: “Proteomic analysis of the FPRL-1 stimulated protein/phospho-protein expression in primary human neutrophil granulocytes” I investigated the differential phospho-protein expression of formyl peptide receptorlike-1 (FPRL-1) stimmulated primary human neutrophil granulocytes (PMNs).

Routine work in a proteomics Lab. Predominantly performing 2D-PAGE and in-gel protein stainings.
