• (Retro)synthesis, purification and characterization (NMR, LC-MS, GPC, DSC, TGA) of small molecules and polymers for Organic Electronics

• Discussion, evaluation and realization of upcoming trends in semiconductor industry in a multinational team environment • Development of cutting-edge solutions for Si wafer coating: Substrate pretreatment and metal-based coating for bond pad applications. Successful deposition proven by acquired surface analytical techniques (e.g. XRF)

• Evaluation and conduction of appropriate synthesis routes for molecules (silanes) for SAMs, preliminary work to establish a process for microarray quality control • Preparation, coating and analysis (e.g. XPS, NEXAFS) of glass and Si surfaces

• Conducting long-term test for Lithium Ion Cells • Establishing a process, equipment and description for precise cell volume determination • Implementation of a culture of safety and housekeeping in the laboratory based on 5S system by in-house training, appropriate workplace design and optimizing existing laboratory safety standards
