Responsibilities include the design, implementation, and on-going operational support for all IT activities. Project managed the successful transition to cloud based services - Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe Creative Cloud.

Leader and key contributor in Global Infrastructure Architecture team with responsibilities to review, evaluate, and define IT strategy for technologies to provide increased competitiveness despite rapidly changing travel industry market conditions. Ensure company’s technology infrastructure objectives, planned investments, and proposed IT solutions are aligned with business stakeholder requirements.

Manage and responsible for the EMEA Data-Center and Operations to provide shared IT services to Carlson Wagonlit business units. Lead and drive IT transformation from de-centralized local country architecture to regionally managed centrally hosted solution. Responsible for recruitment and technical team of 15+ staff. Responsible for financial planning, budget, and vendor relationships for hardware (HP), software (Microsoft), and network (AT&T).

Responsible for implementation of SITA Frame Relay network and Cisco routers for European manufacturing sites to support Baan ERP, Lotus Notes and IBM mainframe connectivity. Implemented multiple PictureTel video-conferencing systems using ISDN-30.

Supervised the LAN, WAN, and Voice telecommunications infrastructure requirements in Europe for Otis Elevator, Carrier, Sikorsky Aircraft, Hamilton Standard, UT Automotive, and Pratt & Whitney. Implemented connectivity between European systems (DEC VAX, Prime Computer, IBM, and Wang) to respective corporate networks and hosts in North America.

Supervised the European Network Operations Center (NOC) for an international private X.25 packet switching network with 100+ nodes in 12 countries. Worked with users to isolate reported outages or degraded performance. Coordinated trouble shooting, escalation, and problem resolution with international PTT’s. Coordinated the implementations of X.25 data terminal equipment (PAD).

Participated in the beta testing, installation, and deployment for the launch of Telnet PC Pursuit. PC Pursuit was an after-hours dial-back PSTN modem service to connect different US cities using the Telnet X.25 Packet Switched network to access remote Bulletin Board Systems (BBS).
