My work mainly consits of performing tissue lysis and ELISAs assays. This is part of the EU-funded N2B-patch project, which aims to improve the treatment of patients suffering from multiple sclerosis by developing a minimally invasive drug delivery system.

I performed tissue analyses via immunohistochemistry, as well as motor behaviour studies in a transgenic mouse model. The aim of the project is to gain insight into the role of a group of spinal cord interneurons involved in the central pattern generation for locomotion. Insight into the generation of locomotion is crucial for the development of treatment for patients suffering from locomotor impairments such as Parkinson's disease.
