In order to rate the sustainability of products, Questionmark uses a calculation system for each of the investigated themes. I developed an animal welfare system which allows to compare the welfare of different types of animals from which products are derived and different animal husbandry systems. The animal welfare system makes it possible to compare consumer products on sustainability in the area of animal welfare.

Research on attitudes toward pig husbandry of citizens, pig farmers, veterinarians and pig farm advisors (e.g. feed advisers, accountants). After that I developed a model in which measures for pig husbandry can be compared in their effect on citizens' attitudes toward pig husbandry, farm income and animal welfare.
