    The objective of this dissertation work is to develop sustainable fabrication routes for ceramic materials by utilizing electric field-assisted sintering technologies. Specifically, the influence of electric field and current on the densification behaviour and microstructure evolution of doped Ceria was studied. Optimization of the sintering parameters for doped ceria powders and tailoring the microstructure by controlling the material synthesis and processing conditions were investigated.
