My role at the 5 star 129-bedroom Bath Spa Hotel (reporting to the General Manager and closely liaising with the Sales Manager) involved running budgets in excess of £7m, maximising revenue and improving profitability levels through the effective application of systems & processes, the design and implementation of selling strategies and the development of a committed, empowered team of 8.

Overlooking 18 properties with a combined sales turnover of £35m and delivering all aspects of revenue management: maximising revenues, profit contribution and market share through the strategic coordination of revenue management techniques, systems and processes. Based at the 4 star 145-bedroom Bellhouse Hotel in Buckinghamshire in order to facilitate its successful transition to Cairn Hotel Group from DeVere as well as the integration of the franchised Holiday Inn Birmingham City Centre hotel to the group

My role at the head office involved working closely with the group owners and directors in establishing the annual group budget and marketing plan, adapting it and creating the budgets & tactical plans for each of the 18 hotels in the group ranging from 2 to 4 stars, assisting the hotel sales & general managers in implementing the marketing activities and reviewing their performance.
