Tobias Begeer

During my MSc in Economics, I work as an Academic Assistant at the Zukunftskolleg as part of the University of Konstanz. As an academic assistant, I help with the processes that make sure the Zukunftskolleg and their work go smoothly. Such as the development of an application form in LaTeX and the analysis of fellowships over time, finding new ways to present data showing the contribution of the Zukunftskolleg to the Universities Rectorate.

The university of Konstanz has a strong focus on quantitative research and has prepared me for economic research in public economics as well as education economics. I have worked in R, Python, MATLAB and STATA. Besides the courses of the Master's degree, I have also taken courses in the German Language up to B2 level and several Philosophy courses as well to broaden my thinking.

This English-taught program allowed me to focus on the related fields of study of Economics, Law and Philosophy. This combination of fields is a core characteristic of Liberal Arts and Sciences and allowed me to become an expert is both fields and more importantly, in how they are connected to each other.
