Created the CFO function at a start-up bank for Sberbank Group in Zurich, specialising in trade finance and global markets. Built and developed accounting, regulatory and management reporting, financial control, tax, treasury (including capital, liquidity and funding management), as well as business performance management functions. Ensured regulatory compliance and capability for business growth.

CFO for Swedbank Group in Latvia (2005-2010) and Baltic Banking (2010-2012). Responsibility for accounting, financial reporting and controlling, tax, strategic planning, performance management, business intelligence, treasury (incl. capital, funding, liquidity management). Responsibility for administration and operations in Latvia - credit products, payments, cards, insurance, markets, real estate. Led a lean-six-sigma program in the region. Restructuring, integration, M&A, shared services.

Co-managed the Trading and Investment, Analysis, Risk Control, Payments and Settlements and External Debt teams. Led foreign exchange reserves management - a global fixed income portfolio of ca. 2 bn EUR.

Temporary job at Deutsche Bank Securities during studies in New York. Worked at convertible bond and emerging market strategy desks.

A number of positions with continuous advancement over 9 years. Global fixed income portfolio management, that included investments in high grade credit, asset-backed and mortgage backed securities in the US and Europe. Implementation of core banking IT system.
