Working in the Linux Technology Center administering several servers using the latest sysadmin and DevOps best practices such as: real time monitoring, automation, IaC, containers (Docker) and more. Daily activities consist in performing several system administrator tasks using Python, Bash and PHP on different servers; actively discussing systems architecture and design, and planning and forecasting infrastructure and application workloads; creating tools to improve daily tasks and applications.

Working on social media solutions for a broad number of segments, using the latest technologies. To name a few: Ruby on Rails, JQuery, SASS, HAML, RSpec and friends. Working with agile methodologies like SCRUM, Test Driven Development (TDD), and using Design Patterns and good coding techniques on a daily basis.

Developing several parts of the main website, adding new functionalities, making improvements and fixing bugs. Using PHP, JavaScript, Python, HTML and CSS. Migrated from a typical web host to Amazon’s cloud – AWS. Created the migration scripts and automated the whole process in order for it to require minimal human intervention.

Worked on a Linux for the Desktop project that ended up being the official solution used across IBM at the time. Responsible for automating test processes, writing test cases, performing problem detection and troubleshooting, reporting bugs and everything test related. Working in a Linux centered environment, I also got a good grip on Python and Shell Script.
