Development of new products and new production methods. Optimalisation of existing products and its parts. Steering and follow up of the production process. Guarantee the quality of the end products is a priority.

- Analysis and application of clients' requirements, legislation and standards - Defining the design methodology and processes - Organising the design teams, compiling and monitoring of the project planning - Coordinate and instructing on average 3 Team Leaders and 9 to 12 Designers - Follow up, check and approval of the full design - Preparation of technical descriptions for services to be provided by suppliers. - Liaise with customers and suppliers

 Querying and managing the information of the system engineers, suppliers and other design teams (local and international)  Determine and develop the design concept  Coordinate and instructing on average 2 to 5 Designers  Developing and checking the entire design (3D and 2D drawings)  Prepare and follow up design reviews (internal, vendor and customer)  Follow-up and assist during the production phase

 Detailed definition of the design concept  3D design work (from concept up to and including detailing) of: • Fully assembled and cabled control cabinets and panels • Complex cable harnesses and cable routes • Integration of electrical equipment and components • Integration of the harnesses: cable ducts, wall passages, ... • Frames, panels, connection boxes, guidance systems, ...

Duties and responsibilities:  Discussion of the concept with the customer  Preliminary design (possibly prototyping) and fully 3D design  Creation of the assembly and detailed drawings ready for production
