Division of Networks and Systems, Computer Communications and Networks - Projects developing techniques and methods to measure, characterize, and classify Internet backbone traffic: Designing and operating measurement infrastructure; Developing tools for large-scale data analysis; Interpreting and documenting results in scientific papers. - Teaching in lectures, exercises and labs on network communication and operating systems; Supervision of master and bachelor thesis projects.

Joint research activities with local researchers at CAIDA (the Cooperative Association for Internet Data Analysis) on passive Internet measurement, traffic analysis and traffic classification.

Concept, realization and operation of the system management and monitoring environment; Integrating the T-Mobile system management environment into the framework at T-Systems; Technical project management: Developing a database-based middleware for service managers.
