Identified possible dimer interface and amino acids involved in aggregation. Separated the monomer, dimer, and aggregates on HPLC using a size-exclusion column. Supervised and operated an electrospray ionization mass spectrometer and a HPLC system.

Examined theoretical analysis on reactor kinetics and thermodynamics to minimize potential hazards for fertilizer production process. Consequently projected and constructed a prill tower producing a new fertilizer in the pilot plant. Performed safety inventories for all chemicals in the labs.

Optimized an existing drug synthesis process in terms of cost effectiveness and productivity. Investigated the influence of different batches of catalyst on this production process. Determined the effectiveness of the catalyst by the product purity and yield using a HPLC. Involved in inspection and maintenance on large-scale production reactors.

Projected characterization on oxygen storage properties in three-way automotive catalysts. Deposition of Pd onto alumina surface using vapor/metal deposition techniques. Three samples, Pd/CeO2, Pd/ZrO2, and Pd/ceria-zirconia were studied. Constructed and tested model catalyst reactors. Supervised and operated a HPLC and a GC. Obtained knowledge in SEM and TEM.
