Remote assistance for an SNSF-funded anthropological research project

Chinese tea trading and culture

I conducted an anthropological study on the subjectivities of women-loving women living in 2010s China. Ethnographic fieldwork was carried out in the city of Shanghai and Yunnan Province.

I received social science research training and assisted in research projects led by senior scholars at Beijing Normal University (topics including HIV/AIDS prevention among MSM groups, sex education in high schools, transnational intimate relationships, and left-behind children in rurual areas). I accumulated rich experience in fieldwork and survey. I also carried out qualitative empirical research independently on the "coming out" experiences of young Chinese lesbians living in Beijing.

My undergraduate training focused on the field of rurual development. I assisted in research projects led by senior scholars at China Agricultural University (topics including poverty alleviation among rural residents with disabilities, EU-China natural forest management collaboration, rural cooperatives, and the methodology of participatory rural appraisal). I accumulated rich experience in fieldwork and survey.
