I was the editorial assistant for Africa Spectrum, part of the GIGA Journal family, where I handled its outreach and communications. It involved creating newsletters, drafting social media posts, and other communications materials. Moreover, I also provided input into their communication strategies.

I worked for the DFG-funded project - "Disinformation Environments and the Emergence of Fact-Checking Organisations in Europe and Latin America." First, I was trained to work with a quantitative codebook. It was designed to conduct a comparative analysis of fact-checking organisations operating in Europe and Latin America and of their mechanisms for debunking claims. Later, I primarily coded the work of British fact-checking entities.

I researched and reported on misinformation emanating from the Indian media ecosystem. I also assisted and conducted media and information literacy training and workshops for journalists, academics and students in India, Germany and Nepal. Moreover, for a brief period during the pandemic, I managed internal communications and a fellowship program aimed at training student and activist fact-checkers.

Daily tasks included: cleaning data collected using social media sentiment analysis software such as Quintly and Meltwater, generating data analysis reports highlighting essential insights on politically influential people, analysing TV debates and generating an opinion-based assessment on the performance of the spokesperson from different political camps
