We are looking for a Director Talent & Capability based in Bonn, Germany.
Job Purpose:
How will you contribute to the success of DHL?
- Own and evolve the Global Talent Management and Performance Management, ensuring alignment with DHL Group standards and Express business priorities
- Design and govern high potential identification, succession planning, and leadership pipeline frameworks in alignment with group
- Ensure robust succession coverage and future-ready leadership capability with design of leadership development programs
- Define and lead the global Learning strategy, ensuring learning solutions are scalable, modern, and business-relevant
- Act as counterpart of Certified learning functional curriculum
- Govern leadership development programs, Career Marketplace, myTalentWorld, vendors, and investments to maximize impact
- Embed Great Place to Thrive principles into talent, performance, and learning frameworks, balancing respect and results culture with growth.
- Act as a key integrator across Talent Acquisition, Engagement, and DEIB to ensure a coherent end-to-end employee experience
- Provide guidance and governance to regional HR teams on talent reviews, calibration, and development planning.
- Represent DHL Express in Group-level Talent and Learning forums, committees, and cross-divisional initiatives.
- Use data, analytics, and feedback to continuously improve talent and capability outcomes at enterprise scale.
Do you have what it takes?
- Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Organizational Development or related field
- Post-graduate qualification in HR, Leadership, or Organizational Development preferred
- Typically, 8–10+ years' experience in Talent Management, Performance, Succession, and/or Learning & Leadership Development
- Significant experience in global, matrix organizations
- Proven track record of operating at senior stakeholder and enterprise level
- English: Fluent (business-level, written and spoken)
- Additional languages an advantage
