We are looking for the Osi PI System Architect/Lead is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing OSIsoft PI System solutions to support enterprise data integration, analytics, and visualization needs. This role involves leading technical teams, ensuring high availability and data quality, and acting as a subject matter expert for PI System best practices. The position requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across global environments. Responsibilities
Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and define PI System architectures aligned with enterprise standards.
Lead the installation, configuration, and deployment of all core PI System components.
Configure and maintain PI Interfaces and Connectors, ensuring reliable data integration.
Design and implement high-availability and disaster recovery solutions for PI environments.
Develop and maintain Asset Framework models and enforce scalable naming conventions.
Manage PI Tags, perform data migrations, and ensure data quality across the system.
Implement analytics, notifications, and event frames for real-time process monitoring.
Create and maintain operational dashboards and reports using PI visualization tools.
Define and enforce best practices, providing expert consulting to teams and clients.
Lead and mentor engineering teams, coordinate with global stakeholders, and serve as the primary PI System contact.
Requirements
8+ years of hands-on experience with the OSIsoft PI System suite.
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field.
Deep expertise in PI Data Archive, AF Server, PI Analysis Service, PI Vision, DataLink, and PI Web API.
Proven experience configuring and troubleshooting PI Interfaces such as OPC DA, OPC HDA, PI-to-PI, UFL, and RDBMS.
Hands-on experience with PI Collective and AF Collective setup and administration.
Proficiency in Windows Server environments, networking, DNS, and Active Directory.
Strong skills in AF hierarchy design, element templates, and attribute configuration.
Experience with PI AF Analytics, Event Frames, and Notification rules.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven leadership experience.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work in diverse, global environments.
