- Performed taxonomic profiling of whole-genome sequence data from a cow’s udder using DIAMOND, MetaPhlan2, and MEGAN

- Identified potential drug targets for chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) based on a mass spectrometric protein dataset - Classified samples in the dataset using machine learning, i.e., Random Forest Classifier - Performed pathway analysis and gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA) using DAVID

- Developed a sophisticated peak detection method for breath gas data (MCC/IMS) based on a deep learning approach, using the tensorflow and keras package in Python. - Benched marked the peak detection method against existing methods, such as PEAX or the watershed algorithm, and showed that it consistently performs better

- Established an automated pipeline for the analysis of breath gas data (MCC/IMS) in Python - Data preprocessing such denoising and smoothing using different filters, i.e., Wavelet transformation - Training of a classifier, i.e., Random Forest Classifier or Support Vector Machine - Classification of unknown samples
