With over 15 years of deep, domain expertise in information security, GRC, and data protection, I founded Beisser & Tjenk Limited to provide security advisory services specifically tailored for the global healthcare ecosystem. I am bridging the critical gap between complex clinical requirements and robust technical defences, serving healthcare providers and Health IT innovators across the UK, EMEA, & APAC. I translate abstract security requirements into high-impact initiatives that drive business value.

As an Expert, I provide strategic advice and guidance to the investment team and founders within the Primary portfolio and broader network. Experts enjoy access to early-stage businesses, emerging trends and technology, and an expanded network of exceptional leaders and resources through a top-tier seed-stage firm. Primary is New York City’s premier early-stage venture firm working alongside founders to build unicorns like Alloy, Alma, Chief, Dandy Electric, Latch, K Health, Stellar Health, Slice etc.

As the BISO, I was tasked with translating the information security program into practical, actionable initiatives for each business unit. My primary responsibility was to ensure that all security measures are fully aligned with our business objectives. I proactively identified potential security risks relevant to each business area and collaborate on developing effective mitigation strategies. I established and enforced policies to safeguard our infrastructure, systems and data.

My principal role as a Senior Advisory Services Consultant in the Advisory Services was to create and maintain strategic partnerships with our customers, through delivering first-class security consulting services, working closely and strategically with my customers and ensuring that I understand and support their business and core security requirements.

In my role as Head of Security Compliance and Regulation within the Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) Governance department I focused on ensuring that enterprise security is implemented in a consistent, coherent manner that is compliant with country specific legislation, regulations and good practice across the globe in relation to (cyber)security and privacy. Most of my work was dedicated to support the sales and business development teams across Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific.

I am responsible for GRC within Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific supporting my team in the USA, Berlin and India. I am working closely with IT, Legal and Regulatory Affairs to ensure that Cerner’s solutions improve patient safety and satisfaction while also driving efficiencies and savings within the healthcare setting.

I provided leadership throughout the entire development life cycle of Information Security solutions. This includes assisting with policy and standards management, providing governance support for reference architectures, and providing strategic security guidance to the business through threat modelling and risk analysis. This included responding to requests for information and proposal around information security.

I was responsible for developing and delivering the Information Assurance framework comprising of Data Protection, Confidentiality, IT Governance, Registration Authority (Identity Management), Information Security, Freedom of Information, Information Risk Management as well as Incident Management (for confidentiality incidents) leading a team of 7 data protection professionals.

Second line support technician responsible for resolving all Level 2 & 3 hardware and software problems within the assigned time-frames. I supported users in our head office as well as remote users in health centres. I also developed internal information systems.

Final year project student gaining commercial experience in Lotus Notes and Domino R5 developing a flexible Domino R5 application database that allows the secure and fast distribution of confidential internal business reports for the IBM Opportunity Management Centre as part of my university final year project with the title “Data mining, transformation and distribution in a dynamic reporting environment”.
