Topic of the Master Thesis: „topology optimization of conjugate heat transfer (cht) systems by means of adjoint method“ (grade: 1.0) - Numerical discretisation of Systems with „OpenFOAM & ANSA“ - Performance the simulations using the C++ software „OpenFOAM“ - Derivation und implementation of the adjoit equations - Determination of topological sensitivity - Geometry optimization of the CHT systems - Visualisation the results by „ParaView“ - C++/LINUX scripting to evaluate the results

Topic of the Bachelor Thesis: "optimization of pin-fin structures for the design of cooling power electronics" (Grade: 1.3) -Numerical discretisation of the Systems with „OpenFOAM & ANSA“ - Using CHT solver of OpenFOAM for the numerical calculation - Employment with different turbulence models - Execution of different parameter studies - Analyzing the boundary layers of the velocity and temperature - Validation and physical analysis of the results

Topic of the project work: "thermal simulations for optimization study of semi-infinite body with OpenFOAM" (grade: 2.0) - Design of a cooling system for cooling heated surfaces. - Carrying out heat transfer research. - Numerical discretization of the system. - Definition of the boundary conditions and the material properties in OpenFOAM. - Performance of the simulations using CHT solver. - Visualization and evaluation of the results.
